The Master Program Quality Policy is consistent with the Mechanical Engineering Department Quality Policy and the UOWM Quality Policy. It is grounded upon a multi-dimensional quality philosophy, remaining attending to the fundamental values of scientific progress, student satisfaction, scientific excellence, innovation and commitment to knowledge dissemination, as described in the Course Guide.
The MSc Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Management in Buildings fosters responsibility towards the students, the academic staff and his associates for:
- implementing and enhancing the operation of the Master Program through the annual internal evaluation and review of the Quality Management System (QMS), and providing, in cooperation with the Committee for Internal Evaluation and the University Quality Assurance Unit, for all financial, technical, and human resources required
- ensuring that course structure and design as well as staff qualifications meet high quality academic standards, and that learning outcomes and student qualifications are congruent with the European and National Higher Education Qualifications Framework, level 7.
- promoting research quality and capacity and working towards building a strong bond between teaching and research to enhance graduates’ acquired qualifications and career prospects.
- improving service quality (administration, libraries, student welfare)
- enhancing operation of postgraduate courses, by applying Quality Management System reviews and evaluations of all relevant processes on a regular basis and, if necessary, re-examining quality objectives
- planning staff in-service and communication actions on Quality Policy. More specifically, it is engaged to apply a Quality Policy which promotes the academic nature and orientation of the Master Program, its objectives, to implement its aims setting means and ways of implementation, in compliance with Quality Assurance Policies to ensure that conditions and requirements are followed. The specific framework requires that relevant regulations for all functions and processes be enforced.
- issuing, applying and reviewing specific annual quality targets, necessary for the conformity with Quality policy as the necessary regulations for all program’s operations
All members of the Master Program are focused on endorsing competitiveness by constantly improving the quality of in-service training, research and services.
